They say excellence has no substitute and is always noticed and recognized. As Capt. Kumar’s stature grew and Shikhar Travels India’ performance levels improved, the awards literally flowed in.

The company received the PATA (Pacific Asia Travel Association) Award in 1992.

Shikhar Travels India has been awarded by SATTE (South Asia Travel and Tourism Exchange) as the ‘Best Boutique Operator’ in 2003.

A great honor that’s come Kumar’s way is his being conferred with the 2011 Life Time Achievement Award after having received the ‘Hall of Fame’ award by the Adventure Tour Operators Association in 2004.

He’s also been honored with the ‘Rotary International Presidents Citation Award’ in the year 1998.
